Why do rollovers not work in an ecard/mailer?
I’m using dreamweaver to create a ecard for our clients, i’ve added roll rollovers like i would with a normal webpage, however the image doesn’t change when i do a test email. I’ve split off the html file and uploaded all the images to our server, and redirected all teh image links. The load states display fine but doesn’t change on the mouse over.
Sometimes scripts are called between the
part of the page. This would already be constructed before the mail message is loaded in the body. If the script isn’t preloaded, you might lose the mouseover functions if the script could not be loaded.Try to call the script anyway from a place on your server. Then, include all script in the page. Try, try again!
Can’t say if it will work at all since the offsite reference might be blocked as a third party request… but couldn’t hurt to extinguish your options.
